Who We Are
The SPAN Center Information and Assistance Program receives approximately 28,000 requests annually from older adults and caregivers seeking assistance with long and short-term supportive services.
Our Intake Staff responds to these requests by providing information and assistance or making referrals to other Senior Connections programs or community resources. Resource information includes:
- Care Providers,
- Family Caregiver Support Groups,
- Health and Wellness Programs,
- Home Care Providers including Nursing Care,
- Home Repair Programs,
- Insurance Providers,
- Independent and Subsidized Housing,
- Legal and Financial Planning,
- Long-Term Care Facilities,
- Mental Health Services,
- Nutrition and Meal Support Services,
- Respite and Adult Day Care Programs,
- Social Service Benefit Programs,
- Transportation Services,
- Employment Training and Assistance,
- Money Management,
- Volunteer Opportunities.
The SPAN Center has access to hundreds of community resources in the public and private sectors. Informational brochures on the above subjects are available upon request. The SPAN Center is a designated Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) dedicated to providing information and referral to seniors and persons aged 18 or older with physical disabilities.
