Mutual support groups that schedule virtual “meetings” via the Internet. Included are e-mail listserv groups, bulletin/message boards, newsgroups and chat groups that are devoted to providing support for participants around the disease.

Grantmaking Organization, Alzheimer's Disease

An organization whose primary activity is granting funds to other organizations to achieve their mission. Foundation is often included in the organization’s name. Organizations solicit contributions, endowments and other financial support from public and private sources which are used directly by the organization to provide services for individuals living with Alzheimer’s Disease or their caregivers. Also included are governmental and quasi-governmental entities that manage the allocation of public monies.
