Who We Are

BT Access is a paratransit door-to-door service complementing fixed route bus service in Blacksburg.  BT Access serves all areas within the Blacksburg town limits, including the LewisGale Hospital Montgomery and the doctor’s offices on the same campus.  The service known as door-to-door allows the BT ACCESS operator to accompany the eligible passenger from their door to the first exterior door of their destination. 

 The service is available for individuals with a temporary or permanent disability who meet the criteria established under the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the Amended Act of 2008 to travel within the Blacksburg town limits. There are fully accessible low-floor buses, and BT ACCESS complements this service.

The application is available for download on the website at Part One and Part Two.  Passengers must be certified to use BT Access, applications can be downloaded or can be mailed by request by calling 540-443-1533 or 540-961-1803. Please review the fare page for applicable fares; monthly passes are not accepted on BT Access
