Dementia Friendly Community

Greater Williamsburg Area Dementia Friendly project is asking individuals and businesses to join in making the Greater Williamsburg area a dementia-friendly community by becoming a Dementia Friend or having your business become Dementia Friendly.  A community that is dementia friendly is a place where people living with dementia:

• Are able to live good lives
• Have the ability to live as independently as possible
• Continue to be part of their communities
• Are met with understanding
• Are given support when support is necessary

The Chamber has a Dementia Friendly Williamsburg Action Team that can provide your business with the tools and training needed to become a dementia-friendly business. There is no charge for this assistance and training.
