FREE (Foundation for Rehabilitation Equipment & Endowment) helps those in need all over the state of Virginia. FREE is considered a provider of last resort and provides assistance only when all other resources are unavailable.
Volunteers from numerous healthcare organizations and from the state give of their time to sort, sanitize and gift mobility equipment to uninsured and underinsured members of the communities.

Intake Process
Call for information; complete an application. Applications remain active for a thirty day period. Please note that a physician's prescription must accompany all applications. If your request is for equipment valued at over $500.00, you are required to submit a "Letter of Medical Necessity" from your physician (a form is provided in the application). The application can be found online.
