Hospitality House

The Doorways provides temporary lodging and non-medical services for the families of patients who are in a hospital. The Doorways provides a place for families who need to be close to the hospital.  The Doorways can provide housing for patients and/or family members who are temporarily in Richmond receiving medical care at a participating hospital.     The Doorways has 117 guestrooms, each with a private bathroom.  Kitchens are stocked by donations so guests can prepare meals and snacks.  



Common rooms include television rooms, library, 24 hour laundry room, chapel and exercise room.  The Day Rester Room is a place to rest for Richmond area people who are undergoing procedures at area hospitals. Patients and their caregivers not requiring an overnight stay can relax in a comfortable and quiet room, away from the hospital.  The Doorways has a pediatric floor designed especially for children and their caregivers.
