Iona's Medical Equipment Loan Closet

Iona's Loan Closet loans durable medical equipment to community residents, including walkers, canes, wheelchairs, bed-side commodes, bath seats, and transfer benches. Items are free to use; we ask that patrons return the items when they are no longer needed.  Please contact the loan closet coordinator at 202-895-9452.



Iona accepts donations of durable medical equipment in good repair, including wheelchairs (non electric), transport chairs, rollator walkers, tub seats, commodes, hand held grabbers, canes, etc. Donations of exceptionally large equipment (i.e. hospital beds, chair lifts, hoyer lifts, etc.) are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Iona loans equipment to anyone in need regardless of age.
