Get DirectionsWho We Are
Northern Virginia Pro Bono Law Center was developed in response to the growing need to provide legal services to the undeserved who have serious legal problems but cannot afford to pay for the services of a competent attorney. Volunteer lawyers, law students and paralegals give their time to staff diverse projects. The Northern Virginia Pro Bono Law Center is a local program that assists individual residents of Fairfax County, as well as Northern Virginia nonprofits. The intake for most of our programs is done through our partners and we should not be contacted directly for legal help.
The Law Center partners with many organizations and mainly does not have contact with individuals. The exception is for contested family cases and only in limited circumstances. Contact the Law Center if
• You live in Fairfax County
• You are low-income (under 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines)
• You have a contested family law issue and you already contacted Legal Services of Northern Virginia (LSNV)
If you live in Fairfax County, are low-income, have a contested family law matter, and have already contacted LSNV, you may contact our dedicated line for contested family law cases at 703-246-2952 or e-mail probono@fairfaxbar.org.
