Who We Are

The Maury Express offers a deviated fixed route service to the citizens of Lexington, Rockbridge, and Buena Vista. Routes and schedules are available on the website. 

A fare of 50 cents per trip is charged and must be paid when boarding the van. Exact change is required. Children under the age of six years old ride at no charge. Washington & Lee University and Virginia Military Institute (VMI) students ride free upon presentation of a valid student identification card.

Individuals who are Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) certified may request the van to deviate off its route to make pick-ups and drop-offs. This distance may not exceed 3/4 of a mile off the route. The ADA certification application is available on the website.

Service availability is Monday-Friday 8 am to 6 pm, Saturday 10 am to 4 pm. Service is not provided for the MAURY EXPRESS Program on New Years Day, Memorial Day, July Fourth, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. When Lexington City schools close due to inclement weather this service is not provided. Announcements are made on local radio, TV stations, the RADAR website, and the Facebook page.

Intake Process
Call for information or wait at designated stops. For ADA route deviation, complete the application and submit it for certification before requesting the first deviation.
