Who We Are

FREE of Richmond provides rehabilitation equipment to qualified adults. This equipment is specifically designed to assist in personal mobility. The equipment consists of canes, crutches, walkers, wheelchairs, hospital beds, power wheelchairs, and bathroom equipment.   Inventory of equipment varies from month to month.

FREE's mission is to help provide mobility related rehab equipment to enhance independence and improve quality of life.



Our recycling program accepts donations, by the public and organizations, of gently used rehabilitation equipment. This equipment is then cleaned, repaired, and distributed to qualified individuals.

Intake Process
Call, email or visit the website. Applications remain active for a thirty day period. Please note that a physician's prescription must accompany all applications. If your request is for equipment valued at over $500.00, you are required to submit a "Letter of Medical Necessity" from your physician (a form is provided in the application). Application can be found online.
