Who We Are
This program provides caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia with training on how to understand and cope with the many difficulties they face, such as resistance to bathing and dressing, wandering, and agitation. Emphasis is placed on ensuring high quality of life standards for the patient.
A plan of care is developed; assistance with personal care and the activities of daily living are provided (dressing, feeding, ambulation, etc.); respite care to relieve family caregivers; informative handbook for family caregivers on problems and coping situations; and coordination and communication with the patient's physician and other health care providers.
