Eye Glasses Recycling, Roanoke Area

Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center of Eastern Virginia collects used eyeglasses.  Volunteers wash and sterilize glasses, determine the prescription and prepare eyeglasses for distribution. Requests for these processed eyeglasses come to the Lions Eyeglasses Recycling, Inc. from various medical and missionary organizations directly or through the Indiana Lions Eyeglass Recycling Facility. Eyeglasses are shipped all over the world. Eyeglasses classified as Readers can be shipped to locations in the United States.

• Small quantities of eyeglasses should be shipped by U.S. Postal Service to the Lions Eyeglass Recycling, Inc., P.O. Box 1772, Roanoke, VA 24008.
• Large quantities of eyeglasses should be shipped by United Parcel Service (UPS) to the Lions Eyeglass Recycling, Inc., 501 Elm Avenue, SW, Roanoke, VA 24016.
• Used eyeglasses can be dropped off at LensCrafters locations.
• Individuals can mail used eyeglasses
• To find a Lion's Club that can help you, please call the state office at 540.774.2495. Give the volunteer your zip code and you will be given the name of the current President of the Lion's Club that serves your zip code.
• The Center in Roanoke is housed in the basement portion of the Lions Sight Foundation Building.
