Senior Transportation

Danville Transit System (DTS) is a subcontractor of the Southern Area Agency on Aging (SAAA).  Transportation services are available by DTS for Danville city residents only, aged 60 and older, Medicare cardholders, and individuals with disabilities.

 Danville residents are driven to medical appointments, grocery shopping, congregate meal sites, vaccination sites, and more.  Transportation is available within the city limits of Danville.

There may be a limit to the number of free trips.  Please call for more details. 

To receive a discount, eligible passengers should present a Medicare card, photo ID, or a certification sticker. To obtain information about the certification process for the half-fare fixed route discount, call the administrative office at 434-799-5144 or 434-773-8132.
