Home Care Registry, In-home Companion Services
Adult And Aging Division, Fairfax County Department of Family Services
Who We Are
The Fairfax County Department of Family Services, Adult and Aging Division, maintains a registry of individuals who provide a range of in-home companion, personal care, and chore services throughout Fairfax County. The screening of these individuals includes an interview, reference checks, criminal history checks, and a tuberculosis test. It does not include observation of direct caregiving skills. Neither Fairfax County nor SeniorNavigator represents that a person listed on the registry is a suitable companion. It is the sole responsibility of the person seeking to employ a companion to determine their suitability and rate of pay for services.
See the Home Care Registry for a list of companions and helpful information on hiring an in-home companion. Scroll down in the document to see the list of companions.
