Who We Are

The Association of Blind Citizens operates the Assistive Technology Fund (ATF).  ATF provides funds to cover 50 percent of the retail price of adaptive devices or software. Products covered by the program must retail for a minimum of 200 dollars with maximum of 6,000 dollars. Applications will be reviewed by the committee. If applicant is selected, documents such as tax returns, bank statements and any other relevant documentation will be required.

Applications must be submitted by June 30th and December 31st (there are two grant periods per year). Applications must be submitted by e-mail. Notifications will be sent out 45 days after the application deadline. The product must be purchased within 30 days after notification is received.
