Who We Are

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers FREE TAX HELP, both federal and state, for people who generally make $58,000 or less for the 2021 tax year, persons with disabilities, and limited English-speaking taxpayers who need assistance in prepairing their own tax returns.  IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.

A second option to file taxes, if you have adjusted gross income of $73,000 or less, is to visit www.myfreetaxes.com to prepare your federal and state taxes for free! 

 Pittsylvania County Community Action is part of the Best Coalition helping to improve the financial stability of area residents.
