Who We Are

The Blacksburg Senior Center (located in the Community Center) provides educational programs, recreational programs, health and fitness activities, trips, and special events for senior citizens ages 50 and above. "The Good Times" newsletter has the latest happenings at the Blacksburg Senior Senior.

The Fitness Center features treadmills, stationary bikes, a step machine, and weight lifting equipment. Fees for seniors ages 50 and above are one dollar per visit or25 dollars for a 30-day pass. Non-seniors are 2 dollars per visit, and 45 dollars for a 30-day pass. During orientations, the Fitness Center is closed to the public.

On Friday afternoons, volunteers from Virginia Tech will share their computer skills to help seniors learn how to use computers, smartphones, and tablets.
