The Caregivers Only Resource Support Group is an essential tool in helping caregivers taking care of loved ones with ALS.
The group will be led by a professional who helps group members share their personal experiences and their knowledge of the disease. They learn they are not alone nor without help or hope. These group meetings are free and open to all caregivers regardless of where the patient is treated. They are designed to share information as well as strategies for preserving the quality of life for caregivers and their family member with ALS.
These groups will occasionally offer speakers on relevant topics. Visit Find a Support Group to locate a meeting near you. The list will have support groups for caregivers only and other groups are open to people with ALS, and their family members and friends. Before attending a meeting for the first time, it is suggested that you contact the group leader to confirm the meeting date and time.
