Friends of the Elderly assists lower-income individuals and families in the Hampton Roads area by identifying and coordinating resources. Currently referrals to parenting classes, budgeting, support groups, and other social service programs are available. This programs offers compassion and assistance for those who are willing to help themselves move forward through a difficult transition in their lives.
The focus of this program is to provide long-term solutions, including substance abuse counseling and referrals and education and academic training referrals to these families.
