Who We Are
Founded in 1989 on the belief that all people deserve a life free from interpersonal violence, The James House Intervention/Prevention Services provides support, advocacy, and education for people in the Tri-Cities and surrounding counties affected by domestic violence, sexual violence, and stalking to empower them to become healthy, safe, and self-sufficient. The James House has a wheelchair accessible office in Petersburg.
The James House provides at no cost

- Peer counseling (individual, couples, pet-assisted and art-assisted) offered by trained support staff;

The James House also provides fun, interactive, free and interesting presentations and workshops for law enforcement, civic organizations, houses of worship, schools, businesses and many other types of groups.
