Who We Are

Elderly & Indigent Victims Assistance (EVAP) provides emergency financial assistance to elderly and indigent Chesapeake victims of crime as a means of last resort. Offers limited financial assistance and referral service to victims who qualify under the program's criteria. The claims are limited to $200.00 per occurrence to reimburse monies or articles that would otherwise place a burden on the victim to replace.



Some of the items the program is able to replace or repair are door locks, broken windows, bicycles, televisions, handicap items, hearing aides, eyeglasses, dentures, rent payments. utility payments, grocery purchases, clothing, shoes, medication and currency.



Each situation is handled on a case by case basis. Call for details about eligibility.
