Health Education

The Center for Advancement of Public Health (CAPH) fosters healthy lifestyles in Northern Virginia and delivers services to individuals, businesses, schools, agencies, and health care organizations. Programs emphasize alcohol and other drug abuse prevention, as well as tobacco prevention, traffic safety, driver safety and more.

CAPH provides in-service training courses and workshops for school personnel, community leaders, local service providers, policy makers, and citizens. The center also assists in preparing needs assessments, program evaluations, data analyses, and research in health issues, and houses an extensive reference library of print and audiovisual materials, primarily on alcohol and drugs.
