Who We Are

Volunteer Fairfax has been the heart of volunteering in Fairfax County. The Center matches the skills and interests of volunteers and donors to the needs of local nonprofit organizations, helping to build a better community through service.  Through a variety of programs and services, Volunteer Fairfax strengthens the capacity of its nonprofit members and offers meaningful volunteer opportunities for local citizens.

VolunteerNow! is Volunteer Fairfax's search engine for individuals and groups to use when searching for volunteer opportunities.

Volunteers for Change offers a variety of hands-on team projects each month to adults who have participated in the orientation. The program provides flexible weekend and evening volunteer opportunities. Volunteers help pack emergency food kits for families in crisis, tutor adults in alternative learning programs, socialize with senior citizens, and remove invasive vines so native plants can thrive.

Volunteer Fairfax organizes an annual community-wide day of service in October as part of national "Make a Difference Day."

Wheelchair accessible.
