Who We Are
The Orthotics and Prosthetics program offers complete prosthetic and orthotic services for adults, adolescents and children who are being served at the Hospital. Offered through Nascott and NRH Regigonal Rehab to assist individuals in becoming as functional, independent and active as possible.
The program is one of the core programs offered by the National Rehabilitation Hospital. Rehabilitation services are provided for individuals who have had amputation, hip-fracture surgery, joint replacement, arthritis, cancer surgery, multiple orthopedic traumas, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Services are managed by board-certified specialists in physical medicine and rehabilitation, orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, and Rheumatology.
Specialized offerings are pre-amputation consultation, onsite manufacture and fitting of prostheses and orthoses, skin care, hydrotherapy, pain management and work related services, vocational evaluation and counseling and supportive psychotherapy and counseling. American Sign Language; interpreters available for most languages.
