Who We Are

The Administrative Office for the  Fluvanna County Department of Social Services can provide information to low-income individuals and families about benefits programs and services that promote self-reliance and protection through the provision of community-based services and help families meet basic needs.



Some programs available are adult services, adult protective services, pre-screening for nursing facilities, child care assistance, child protective services, daycare provider information, energy assistance program, food stamps, foster care services, general relief, auxiliary grants, state and local hospitalization, Cardinal Care Medicaid eligibility, Cardinal Medicaid long term care, and TANF.

Applications can be mailed or picked up at the office.  Residents can now apply for Social Services benefits online: Click here to apply online at the Virginia Commonhelp website.
