Recreation

The Recreation Department offers year-round recreational activities for youth and adults. They include Dixie Baseball age 8-18, Dixie Softball ages 8-18, T-Ball ages 5-6 years old and Church League Softball.

The County Pool opens the first Saturday in June and operates 7 days a week until August for public swimming.  Call for information about pool hours and fees.  Senior Citizens admission is free.



The Park has Picnic Shelters that are offered to the public from May through September. The Shelters can be reserved with fee by contacting the Recreation Office. The Park has a playground for tots and also a playground for ages 8 and up with handicapped accessibility.

Fall and winter activities are limited due to utilizing County School gymnasiums and scheduling around school activities. We do offer Sandlot Football, Boys and Girls Biddy Basketball, Sandlot Cheerleading and Adult Church League Basketball.   All of the leagues are operated by registration fees to cover all expenses for that league.

The Rec Department provides senior programs such as National Senior Day, travel adventures and other activities of enjoyment throughout the year.
