Who We Are

The Montgomery County Christmas Store is an all-volunteer, community-wide, nonprofit organization which assists low-income families in Montgomery County during the Christmas season by providing a shopping experience characterized by choice and dignity. Serving families with children is a first priority.



The location of this program varies from year to year. Open to permanent residents of Montgomery County.  Accessibility: Varies according to the facility. The dates and times that the store will be open change each year.  Visit the website or call the office.



To shop at the Christmas Store, every applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Have an income that is no greater than 125% of the federally established poverty level (Eligible shoppers can earn 25% above the poverty level
  • Be a Montgomery County resident

And meet one of the following conditions:

  • be 62 years of age or older
  • receive disability payments
  • have children under age 18
