Who We Are

Project Lifesaver is designed as a rapid response search and rescue operation. Places electronic locator transmitters on persons with Alzheimer's, Dementia, Traumatic Brain Injury, Autism, Down Syndrome and who may wander from home and become lost. Program services the transmitters, responds ad locates the person and returns them home, should they wander.

After the intake interview and information has been recorded, a picture is taken and a transmitter/wrist or ankle band is assigned and placed. This program is 100% volunteer staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Funding for this program is a result of private and corporate donations and grants. Since Project Lifesaver is comprised of volunteers, donations are used directly for programs, rescues and educational expenses. This service is provided at no expense to the participating families.
