Community Service

The Alliance for Retired Americans is an advocate for older and retired Americans on critical legislative and policy issues that affect senior Americans. The Alliance advocates on issues such as Social Security, Medicare and prescription drugs, affordable housing, long-term care, managed care reform, Medicaid, poverty and services in your community.

In each state, the Alliance works to expand local programs that help people with disabilities stay in their own homes; protect the rights of nursing home patients; protect the "lifeline" utility rates for older Americans; make tax policies fairer for older people; and expand state-level health benefits.
