Women's Shelter and Women and Children's Shelter

The Women's Shelter and the Women and Children's Shelter in Norfolk provides a safe haven for women suffering from abuse, drug, and alcohol addiction, loss of a job, and strained home and family relationships. The shelter provides 40 emergency shelter beds and 7 family rooms for mothers and their children. Residents are provided a safe place to sleep, food, clothing, and counseling and are assisted with preparing for job interviews, obtaining birth certificates, benefits and suitable housing.  Women who are single, can call 757-627-8686, ext 354 for more information; women with children, call extension 335.



All guests receive counseling, encouragement and attend mandatory chapel services. Open 365 days a year.
