Who We Are

Norfolk Redevelopment & Housing Authority (NRHA) operates a Senior Center located in the Young Terrace Community. Young Terrace was named after P. Bernard Young, editor and publisher of the Journal and Guide newspaper. It was first occupied in 1953 and has 752 units on 36 acres.

Socialization and activities are offered to seniors. Lunch is provided by Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia. Young Terrace Senior Center provides blood pressure checks, diabetes screening, vision screening, hearing screening, and breast exams. Also, field trips, craft projects, dances, etc. This is also a Nutrition site.
