Who We Are

Capital Area Partnership Uplifting People (CAPUP) manages a Senior Center that provides a supervised, structured environment for adults 50 years of age and older.  Senior Centers provide a wide range of services for low-income, elderly persons, such as: the daily Capital Area Nutrition Project feeding program; blood pressure screening; cancer screening; field trips; movies, bazaars, classes in art and crafts, drama, health, nutrition, budget management and exercise.

Friendship Cafes are located in Powhatan, Goochland, and Hanover Counties.  Senior Connections provides meals and activities at each Cafe.  CAPUP provides transportation.   Call to see if transportation to the Senior Center is available. 

The Senior Center Manager is Gale Conner.
