In-Home Skilled Nursing Care

Comfortcare Home Health and Hospice, an affiliate of Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, provides skilled nursing services, diabetes services, IV therapy, rehabilitation services, pain management and palliative care services.  Services are provided by registered, licensed, bonded nurses, offer services such as managing medications, changing catheters, overseeing tube feedings, helping with ostomy care and handling injections.   Other services include



IV Therapy - Services are available 24  hours a day and include total parenteral and enteral nutrition, IV antibiotics, fluid replacement, chemotherapy, pain management, blood and blood product transfusions and immunotherapy.



Diabetes Services - Practitioners can assist with meal planning and nutritional guidance, insulin  injections, blood glucose monitoring, lifestyle changes, pump maintenance, exercise plans, and other related care.



Palliative Care Services - Relieve suffering; pan and symptom control, as well as emotional support.



Rehabilitation - Physical, occupational and speech therapists provide services in the patient's home.
