Who We Are

Greater Richmond Transit Company (GRTC) offers a Travel Training Service that can provide individuals, 15 years of age and older, an opportunity to learn skills so they can follow a GRTC bus route. The training teaches individuals how to ride public transportation safely and independently. Instructors create travel plans to show the person how to use fixed-route transportation. The training is free.

Training services include basic bus orientation, mobility device instructions, and one-on-one training for specific trip destinations. The training can be catered to new transit riders, minors aged 15 and older, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.
