GO Alex provides residents, commuters, and visitors with resources and information about getting around the city.  GO Alex, formerly Local Motion, is a one-stop for travelers to learn about transportation in Alexandria that encourages the reduction of automobile dependence, aiming to improve air quality by promoting public transit, ride-sharing, carpooling, bicycling, and walking as transportation options.

GO Alex works to improve the commuter experience by assisting employers with creating customized commuter programs, as well as providing information on ways for commuters to connect to mobility resources in the city of Alexandria.
