Who We Are

The Administrative Office for Stafford County Department of Social Services offers Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), Food stamps, Cardinal Care Medicaid, Fuel Assistance, Child Day Care Assistance, Child Protective Services, Adult Services and Parenting education, and more.

The Social Services Board's purpose and goals: 1) To provide an efficient and effective public welfare program to the citizens of Stafford County, 2) To communicate to the citizens of Stafford County the availability of services, 3) To foster the involvement of County citizens in social services, 4) To strengthen the family as the central structure of a free, caring and self-sufficient society.
