Peninsula READS offers Basic Literacy (BL) instruction to adults who have difficulty reading or who would like to improve their reading and writing skills. BL students are paired with and meet one-on-one with trained volunteer tutors. Students can learn reading, writing, and math skills to improve their literacy skills or to work towards attaining a GED or going to college. While Peninsula READS does not offer GED instruction, our tutors will assist students in getting their reading levels and skills high enough to attend GED classes offered by local Adult Education programs.
