Who We Are
Med-Flight II, a partnership between Ballad Health System and the Virginia State Police, provides air transport services to and from all Wellmont hospitals. Specially equipped helicopters are housed at Virginia Highlands Airport in Abingdon, Virginia, and are staffed by a medical crew provided by Ballad and a pilot provided by the Virginia State Police.
