The Reimbursement Connection is a full-service hotline for reimbursement and patient assistance for those who are interested in certain medications. The Reimbursement Connection is a free resource providing information on reimbursement policies, billing and coding, and claims appeals. Physicians and patients can call the Hotline at 1-800-772-6436. A specialist will assess their case and direct them to the appropriate component of the Amgen patient assistance program.
Other assistance programs are Amgen Oncology Assistance, SAFETY NET, and referrals to colorectal CareLine. Providers apply on behalf of the patient. The hotline provides information regarding reimbursement policies, billing procedures, coding and claims appeal related to Neupogen. The goal of Safety Net is to help medically indigent patients (those uninsured or underinsured with limited or no financial resources). Any administering physician, hospital, home health company or community pharmacy may sponsor a patient by applying to the program on his or her behalf.
