Adult Education Learning Center, Literacy & GED

The Adult Learning Center offers many courses specifically designed for seniors. At present, and they are always adding and looking for new ideas, they offer courses for seniors in computers, financial planning and fitness. Their catalog and website provides details, including costs. There is a 50% discount for seniors. Adult Leaning Center offers comprehensive adult education courses and programs to individuals interested in sharpening basic skills, learning English, earning a GED certificate, or acquiring skills for employment.



Tuition charges for community education classes, registration and materials fees for ABE and ESOL; non-resident fees for all programs; non-immigrant fee for ESOL; some textbook fees.



Community Education classes, which carry a tuition fee, are offered during both day and evening. Classes are offered in response to community interest and input. Community Education classes are constantly updated and new classes are developed each semester.



The Workforce Training Certificate Program offers classes that prepare students with skills to begin a career, to advance in a current position, or to promote professional growth. Courses are offered on a pay-as-you-go basis. A twenty-four month Licensed Practical Nursing Program is offered through the Adult Learning Center and the School of Practical Nursing and is housed at the Technical and Career Education Center.
