In October 2009, Volunteers of America Chesapeake also began operating the Drop-In Center; a program offering day support services to homeless adults. The Drop-In Center is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Clients can use the Drop-In Center to take a shower, wash their laundry, get a hot meal, make phone calls and receive mail. On an average day, the Drop-In Center serves 15 single men and women. This program partners with Loudoun County Department of Family Services, Emergency Services, PATH/Outreach and Mental Health to ensure all individuals who utilize this resource have an opportunity to connect to various services as needed.
