Who We Are
Elmwood House offers 50 units of one bedroom apartments for senior age 62 and older. There is wall-to-wall carpeting, range, frost-free refrigerator, garbage disposal, individually controlled heating and a/c, window coverings, and emergency call system in each unit. A full-time Services Coordinator who works with the residents and maintains a full activity calendar designed specifically to the residents wishes is employed.
The property is operated under HUD Section 8 guidelines. The government gives funds directly to apartment owners, who lower the rents they charge low-income tenants. You can find low-rent apartments for senior citizens and people with disabilities, as well as for families and individuals.
