Recreation, Activities and Classes

Lynchburg Parks and Recreation operates nine community centers. A wide variety of recreational programs for the community are available.  Programs include athletics, arts, naturalist, youth and senior adult classes. You can search for the seasonal guides, which include information about individual classes, registration, payment, refunds and important dates.

Programs are held at the Miller Center at 301 Grove Street, as well as in parks and neighborhood centers throughout the City of Lynchburg.  Some of their programs are free, while others have a fee for participants.  The Lynchburg Parks and Recreation Department offers scholarships for some City participants who may need financial assistance.
