Who We Are

At the Eastern Shore Behavioral Healthcare Center, the Eastern Shore Community Services Board offers outpatient behavioral health counseling, case management, psychiatric and mental health support services. The program 's goal is recovery is for individuals who suffer from behavioral health or a co-occurring substance use disorder. The recovery process begins with a thorough understanding of the individual's presenting concerns in the context of his or her bio-psycho-social history.Often an array of services is needed to meet the individual's goals. 

Individual therapy is viewed as a stepping stone to participation in the group therapy modality. The outpatient department conducts group therapy for areas of common concern such as anger management, post traumatic stress disorder and on-going support groups for individuals struggling with anxiety and depression.

The Eastern Shore Community Services Board operates an extensive transportation fleet to assist individuals in getting to appointments so transportation will not be a barrier to their treatment success.

Emergency services clinicians are on-call 24 hours per day, every day. During business hours, call or come to the emergency services building located at 10106 Pine Avenue, Nassawadox, Virginia, 23413. After business hours, call and ask to speak to the emergency services clinician on call. The clinician will return your call.
