Cancer Support Groups

• The Cancer Resource Center at Virginia Hospital Center offers a wide array of support groups and programs that give patients and their families the opportunity to learn, gather and share.
• C.H.A.N.C.E. Head and Neck Cancer support group is offered on the 4th Wednesday of every month from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm.
• Reiki meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm 30-minute Reiki sessions for cancer patients. Appointment is required. To register, call 703.558.5555.
• Breast Cancer Support Group meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month, 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm.  Meet other women diagnosed with breast cancer; 
• Breast Cancer Patients with Children: Join other mothers to discuss living with a breast cancer diagnosis and raising a family. Meets on the 2nd Friday of every month from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm.
• Man to Man Prostate Cancer: Discussion group for men and their spouses or significant others. Co-sponsored by the American Cancer Society. No registration is required. Meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm.
• Write Away Group meets periodically.  Writers or aspiring writers with cancer meet and share what they have written about diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.  Call 703-558-6913 for meeting dates and times.
