Who We Are
Nelson Clinic, the Department of Ophthalmology, offers comprehensive evaluation, consultation, medical and surgical management for all diseases of the eye. Faculty members provide care and treatment for cataracts, glaucoma, eye motility disorders, diseases of the cornea, retina and vitreous body, ocular inflammatory disorders and ocular, orbital and eyelid tumors. Ambulatory surgery facilities and laser treatments are available at Nelson Clinic and Stony Point.
60% of practice is devoted to persons age 60 and older. Currently accepting new patients.
Hospital admitting privileges are Stony Point Surgery Center, VCU Health Center and MCV Hospital.
