Who We Are
The Community Center of Abingdon (formerly Abingdon Senior Center) provides home delivered meals for older adults by referral from health care facilities, social agency, family, friends, or neighbors.
Program has sponsors from local churches and organizations also. Specialty diets are referred to Area Agency on Aging for service. Residency eligibility is all of Washington County. Veterans who are home bound, regardless of age, are also eligible to receive delivered meals. Service to eligible clients usually begins within 3-5 days of application. Two deliveries totaling 4 meals per week.

Primarily homebound adults age 50 and older, 18 years of age and older who are disabled and homebound, and generally 125% poverty level or special circumstances.
