Who We Are

Information and referral is the primary service of Northern Virginia Resource Center (NVRC). The Center serves deaf and hard of hearing people and their families, friends, co-workers, employers, and business and government agencies that serve deaf and hard of hearing people. A professional resource book with self-reported information about people with special skills, such as doctors who are comfortable using interpreters, or counselors or baby-sitters who know sign language, deaf, deaf-blind, hard of hearing, hearing, parents with deaf children, children of deaf parents, parents with hard of hearing children, children with hard of hearing parents, educators, hearing aid users, people with cochlear implants, people with tinnitus are available. Items for library are not for loan but can be used on site. NVRC has database of interpreters for assignment in Northern Virginia area.

Publishes newsletter also with events, information, and articles.
Information is provided via monthly newsletter, email newsletter, exhibits and presentations.
