Who We Are

Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Center (DHHSC) outreach office can provide information and referral about sign language classes, financial help for hearing aids and other assistive technology, finding and using interpreters, locating the right assistive technology, community rights and responsibilities under Americans With Disabilities Act and using the Virginia Relay to connect people using various telephone devices. Educational services provided by DHHSC include computer training, workshops on various topics, presentations to civic and professional groups and e-mail newsletters.

Mission: To work toward improving quality of life for the deaf, hard of hearing, and deaf blind; and to educate the general public about the needs of our communities.
