Who We Are
Northern Shenandoah Valley Adult Education offers GED preparation. Eligible students have less than a high school diploma but have a functional basic skill level above the ninth grade. Offers instruction that specializes in test taking techniques, problem solving skills and basic review of material covered on the GED exam. There is a tuition fee for this class.
The course goes for ten weeks and is designed to present materials and instruction which directly correspond to actual GED test. At end of the class a GED practice test is given. Call for location. Some locations are accessible to the handicapped and some locations are accessible to public transportation. In order to determine the proper class placement and to help the student make the transition to adult education, an orientation session is offered on Tuesday evenings from 5:00-7:30PM and there is a $5.00 charge for the orientation/assessment session. Call for further information.
